Accounts and access

What a TurboStack account can see and do, and how multi-account login and account selection work for agencies and partners.

What you can see and do in TurboStack depends on the account you are signed in to. This page explains what your account gives you access to, and how multi-account login works for agencies and partners who manage several customer accounts and switch between them without signing out.

What your account can access

Your account manages its own resources. You can work with your Hosts, Groups, Templates, global Search, Monitoring, Support and your account settings. You only ever see the resources that belong to your own account.

Multi-account login and account selection

A single login can be linked to more than one account. When it is, TurboStack shows the Select account screen after you sign in so you can choose which account to work in. You can switch to another linked account later without signing out. This is useful for agencies and partners who manage several customer accounts. See Logging in.

Permissions

Access in TurboStack is scoped to your account: you only see the hosts, groups and templates that belong to the account you are signed in to. Switching to another linked account changes which resources are visible accordingly.

Permissions themselves are not set in TurboStack. They are part of the contact's profile in the Customer Center, so that is where you grant or withdraw them - see Contacts.

If you see a permission message instead of your hosts

A contact who can sign in but has not been given the right permissions sees a message instead of the interface. There are two:

Message What it means How to fix it
"You don't have access to GUI TurboStack. Please login to the portal and configure your permissions for TurboStack." The contact may sign in, but does not have the TurboStack Access UI permission. In the Customer Center, open the contact and turn on Access UI under the TurboStack permissions.
"You don't have access to the services of TurboStack. Please login to the portal and configure your services for TurboStack." The contact has access to the interface, but to none of the services on the account, so there is nothing to show. In the Customer Center, give the contact access to the service (the server) it should manage, under the per-service permissions.

Both are corrected in the Customer Center, not in TurboStack. After the change, sign out and sign in again so the new permissions are loaded.
